Track Saw

Wiki

Watch this excellent video before using the track saw to learn about all the adjustments and the operation. Take a moment to get to know the adjustments without the battery attached.  Remember to use the dust catch bag or attach a vacuum.

IMPORTANT: Be cognizant of where you place the material you are cutting into.  Place the material on the large piece of pink foam insulation we have in the shop so you don’t damage the blade, floor, table etc. when cutting. Do not cut more deeply than necessary so the foam doesn’t get completely destroyed.

We have two tracks that can be combined with the pieces in the Packout Box (Big red box the saw is in) to make a 96″ cut for ripping down plywood.

Where I Live

There are two long pieces of track that live on a hook on the back side of the solvent storage cabinet, near the rolls of tape and towels.

The battery should live with the other batteries at the charging station. This saw is capable of being used with any of our M18 batteries, but it is highly recommended to use the larger “forge” or “high output” battery to maximize performance.

The saw and the rest of its accessories like clamps, track connectors, and dust fittings should live in the large red Milwaukee Packout container underneath the back side of the table saw.

There are often a few pieces of purple/pink foam insulation sheets floating around the hackables/tool areas. These are useful for putting under your project so that you can safely cut through your material into the foam, without harming the work surface.
