Filament Storage Policy

Filament racks are provided for member use.
Our space is limited!   Please only store materials for Active projects.

  • Incorrectly labeled or out of date items will be moved to General Use each month!
    If you want to store here, make sure it is labeled and up to date!
  • Members may keep up to 5 rolls of filament in the 3D Printing area
  • The top four racks on the main storage wall are for General Member Use.
  • The bottom four racks below that, and the Dry Box, are for Private Member storage.
  • Racks to the right of the door are the Danger Zone.
    • Incorrectly labeled or expiring items are placed here, and moved to General Use each month.
  • Filament spools should be placed on the racks directly, or in a dry box.
    Dry bags are OK if necessary.
  • Please recycle or dispose of all other packaging.  No Cardboard Boxes please!
  • Please do not store Hazardous or Radioactive materials.
  • Stored filament must be labeled with the member’s Slack handle.
  • Stored filament must also have a Monthly label sticker.
  • Monthly labels on each spool will need to be updated each month.
  • Labels and stickers should be placed on the spool, rather than the packaging.
  • Labels are inspected during Hack Denhac day each month.  Any expired or unlabeled items will be relabeled and moved to General member use.

The monthly labels are provided by Denhac, and may be found to the left of the
storage racks..
