Computer Science Club – Computing Resources

The denhac AI & Computer Science Club provides members with access to high performance computing resources for data science, machine learning, and AI projects.

What We Offer

GPU Compute Cluster

  • 112GB+ pooled GPU VRAM available for machine learning inference and training
  • Modern NVIDIA GPUs including professional grade accelerators
  • Ideal for running large language models, image generation, and deep learning workloads

Virtualization Platform

  • Proxmox VE cluster for flexible VM and container provisioning
  • Members can request dedicated virtual machines for projects
  • Isolated environments for experimentation and development

Storage & Resources

  • Terabytes of storage available for datasets, models, and project files
  • Hundreds of gigabytes of RAM across cluster nodes
  • High core count processors for parallel workloads

Video Production

  • Dedicated video editing workstation for club content creation

Requesting Resources

Members can request VMs for data science projects. When requesting, please include:

  • Use case: What you’re building or researching
  • Timeline: How long you need the resources
  • Resource needs: RAM, CPU, GPU, and disk requirements

Usage Guidelines

To ensure fair access for all members:

  1. No torrenting
  2. No cryptocurrency mining
  3. No brute force attacks
  4. No unguarded/unlocked models exposed to the internet
  5. LLM and image generation workloads welcome (editing/manipulation restricted)

Our Community

denhac is home to a vibrant AI ecosystem. Depending on your interests, we recommend engaging with both of our active groups:

  • AI & Computer Science Club: Focused on technical implementation, hardware infrastructure, and member led engineering projects.
  • ML Visions: A community centric group focused on machine learning discussion, research sharing, and public outreach.

Both groups work to ensure denhac remains a premier location for AI exploration in Colorado.

Get Involved

AI & Computer Science Club (The “Lab”)

  • Meetings: 2nd and 4th Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Location: denhac Classroom
  • denhac Slack: #ai-compsci-club
  • Focus: Technical deep dives and cluster management. Some Meetings are reserved for denhac members only; hardware access is a member benefit.
