Learn to use the TIG Welder and get authorized to use it
This class will teach basic machine safety and introductory welding techniques that should prepare you to practice more on your own safely and confidently. Unlike the MIG machine that feeds the wire automatically and draws current through the filler material, the TIG machine requires precise movement of a Tungsten electrode and filler material supplied by hand. MIG is easier but TIG is cleaner and more precise, thus the MIG class is a recommended (but not required) prerequisite to this authorization class.
