Completing and Passing this class will authorize you to operate the milling machines in the metalworking shop. We will go over basic setup and operation of the machine as well as some basic theory on machining. It’s not required but highly recommended you be familiar with some basic machining concepts before taking this class.
The wiki page for the Grizzly Mill has a basic outline of what skills you can be expected to need to practice to operate these machines. You are also encouraged to ask on slack in the #help-metalwork channel for advice.
