The Jugger Craft Day is a social crafting event open to denhac members and the public. It is a cross-community event to introduce Colorado Jugger teams to denhac, and invite members and the public to learn about Jugger.Jugger is a 5v5 game similar to rugby, but with foam swords instead of full body tackles. Jugger’s philosophy is “first touch, lightest touch” to judge engagements, and uses strict guides on building “pompfen” or “sticks” to maintain safety. Modeled after the recent Vinyl Wrapping Workshop, the Jugger Craft Day will help Jugger players repair gear and build new equipment, introduce them to the incredible space that is denhac, and invite denhac members to meet teams and join practices with a welcoming, diverse community.
Colorado has the most teams of any US state – with 13 teams practicing between Colorado Springs and Fort Collins – and is proud to host the US National Mile High Open competition on July 19-20. With 800 teams in Germany alone, and worldwide competitions in Australia (2025) and Berlin (2026), it’s the most fun, biggest sport you’ve never heard of – and we can’t wait to welcome you!
