Learn the basics of computer aided manufacturing using Fusion360. Fusion 360 for hobbyists is the only all-in-one design and manufacturing suite so we use it extensively. This class is a heavily recommended but technically optional prerequisite to the CNC Router Authorization class. Even if you’ve used a CNC machine a few times before then please take this class first, we only recommend skipping it if you know you’re an expert with toolpaths, feeds/speeds, endmill considerations, etc.

<– Homework –>

On the wiki page are some homework videos, please watch them before signing up for this class. You should come to this class with a computer that has Fusion pre-installed, and with some familiarity with Fusion in general. You should know how the feature tree on the left works, along with the history browser at the bottom, and how to do basic modelling. This class will show you how to program the Shapeoko to cut out your model.

This class is available to denhac members only, and at no additional charge.
