Event Type

In this introductory workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of glass cutting, foil wrapping, and soldering in order to make your very own stained glass project.

We have the following equipment for cutting glass: hand tools, a ring saw, a glass grinder, and the beetle bits cutting system. During the workshop you will learn how to use this equipment.

Materials are provided. We have premade patterns and a pattern book, you’re also welcome to print out a pattern or make something from scratch. You can post your design on the #help-stained-glass channel on slack ahead of time to request advice.

Logistical notes: We have staggered start times, that is why there are multiple events back to back. Plan for your project to take about 2-3 hours of work. The more pieces your design has, the longer it will take to create. If we are not busy, walk-ins are welcome. The soldering process can create a bottleneck. Please be prepared for a wait at some workstations, depending on attendance. Consider bringing something to keep you busy if a line forms.  Join #help-stained-glass on slack for more information.

This event is for denhac members only, at no additional cost.
