This training will authorize you to use denhac’s precision hand tools, namely the three hand planes, the chisel set, and the gents saw. All other hand tools do not require training authorization unless otherwise stated. This training is mandatory for all denhac members before you’re allowed to use the tools.
Register for this training and complete your homework before the class by reading the woodshop wiki page and the tool wiki pages. This class takes ~3 hours depending on the number of attendees and experience. You are strongly encouraged to take the sharpening authorization class prior to this class.
This class covers our precision chisel set, each of the #4, #6, and block planes, and the gents saw.
This class will not cover any of the power tools at denhac. The mitre saw, jointer, planer, and table saw are covered in Woodshop A. The router table, bandsaw, and drum sander are covered in Woodshop B.
This class is offered to denhac members only, and at no additional charge. If you’re interested in becoming a denhac member then stop by for a Tuesday night open house from 8-10pm!
