Event Type

Level up your cosplay game! Join us for a specialized garment workshop taught by a professional cosplayer where we’ll construct a classic rounded hood and circle capelet. Whether you’re preparing for a convention or just want to add some drama to your wardrobe, this class covers the fundamentals of structured hoods, linings, and decorative closures.

What You’ll Master

In this session, we’ll move from flat pattern to 3D garment using professional construction techniques:

  • Pattern Literacy: Working with large-format patterns (with a look at how CNC-cut fabric pieces come together).

  • The “Sandwich” Method: Learn to sew a full lining for a professional, “itch-free” interior finish.

  • Curves & Contours: Managing the geometry of a circular cape and a rounded hood.

  • Finishing Touches: Installing ribbon ties and using Fray-Check for durable, travel-ready cosplay.

Class Details

  • Instructor: Serenity

  • Techniques: Machine construction followed by essential hand-sewing for the final details.

  • Authorizations: No prior authorizations required.

  • Prerequisites: You should be comfortable with basic machine operation and following a simple pattern.
