SUMMARY:MIG Welder Authorization Class
DESCRIPTION:Become authorized to use the denhac mig welder. This training i
 s mandatory for all denhac members before they're allowed to use the MIG m
 achine. The class will cover basic safety training regarding the MIG welde
 r but will not be an exhaustive lesson on welding. This class is also a he
 avily recommended but optional prerequisite to taking the TIG welder autho
 rization class.\n\nThe MIG welder uses a pistol-style torch to deliver cur
 rent carrying wire protected by inert gas. MIG welding is easier than the 
 TIG welding but offers less control of the weld. The difference is very ak
 in to using an automatic (MIG) vs manual (TIG) transmission.\n\nAttendees 
 must wear non-synthetic clothing and shoes. Welding helmets\, jackets\, an
 d gloves are provided\, but you’re also welcome to bring your own. We do
  not have shoe covers so make sure to wear some good boots or something yo
 u can drop hot slag on.\n\nThis class is available to denhac members only\
 , and at no additional charge.
