DESCRIPTION:Bookings open 7 days prior to event.\n\nThis training will auth
 orize you to use denhac’s precision hand tools\, namely the three hand p
 lanes\, the chisel set\, and the gents saw. All other hand tools do not re
 quire training authorization unless otherwise stated. This training is man
 datory for all denhac members before you're allowed to use the tools. Regi
 ster for this training and complete your homework before the class by read
 ing the woodshop wiki page and the tool wiki pages. This class takes 3–4
  hours depending on the number of attendees and experience. You are strong
 ly encouraged to take the sharpening authorization class prior to this cla
 ss. IMPORTANT: participants in the class must supply their own material\, 
 ideally a S2S piece of hardwood (think cherry or soft maple—nothing over
 ly hard) no smaller than 4”x8”x1”. The class will utilize the follow
 ing tools:\n\n 	#4/#5 and#6/#7 bench planes\n 	Block plane\n 	Chisels (bet
 ween 1/4” and 1”)\n 	Marking gauge (or combination square and marking 
 knife)\n 	Gents saw\n 	Square\n 	Compass\n 	Pencil\n\nAll of the above wil
 l be available with denhac’s tools\, but members are welcome to bring th
 eir own if they prefer. This class will not cover any of the power tools a
 t denhac. The mitre saw\, jointer\, planer\, and table saw are covered in 
 Woodshop A. The router table\, bandsaw\, and drum sander are covered in Wo
 odshop B.This class is offered to denhac members only\, and at no addition
 al charge.
