Jason Simons will be giving an introductory guitar class at Denhac on
December 8th. He will be going over a quick history of the guitar, the
explanation of its parts and uses, and a primer on music theory and how
to start playing the guitar. You will learn simple major keys, major and
minor chords, and some technique. If there’s additional interest, Jason
will give free guitar lessons on a yet-to-be-determined basis. If you have a guitar that’s been laying around the house gathering dust,
clean it up and bring it! There will be 3 or 4 guitars for people to use
during the class, but there won’t be enough for everyone (hopefully)

Learn to brew w/ Jeff Karpinski
Saturday, November 17 2:00pm – 6pm
“With the presidential election safely in our rear-view mirror, how about some tasty homebrew to wash away all those campaign ads from your memory? This class will be for beginners as well as those looking to make the jump from extract brewing to all-grain, as we’ll be doing TWO mini-batches of Obama’s White House Honey Ale.
Brewing will be done on my small-batch brewing system, featured in Nov 2009 issue of Brew Your Own magazine. Of course, brewing beer is no fun without a pint of homebrew in hand so I’ll have a keg of my 100% Citra IPA on hand to sample! Prost!”
